Tinting Ratio/Style?

I just recently moved to Melbourne Florida and I am giong to be bringing down my car from Rhode Island when christmas break comes along... I really want to get my windows tinted with the mirror tint... I was wondering if anyone has this tint, have seen it, like it, where i woudl go to get it... any opinions at all

I also bought one of those ECU chips off ebay and was wondering if it was worth the 30$. Where i could get it installed and whatnot...

is is called limo mirror tint, you can buy it at most large parts stores like pep boys, autozone, advance auto parts, etc..even walmart.... as far as the chip is concerned i would install it yourself if you do not want to do that bring it to a performance shop..

Those ebay chips are a gimmick. I would say don't buy it, but you already did...I wouldn't waste my time, if you want my opinion...just sell it to someone else or eat the loss if you want my 2 cents.

Not all tint is created eqaul, some tint brands are higher quality than others. Solargaurd has some pretty decent tint. The tint you buy at wal-mart, et all tends to fade and bew of lower qaulity. Solargaurd is a brand actaul tint shops will use, and they make some decent tint. I would look around for a shop that uses qaulity product, and find out about the warrenty. Is it lifetime, and whatis covered? Is fading covered? Pealing, de-metaizing...what all is covered? Make sure the warrenty and this is in writing when you get the tint done. Some places won't warretny the tint if it fades... and a lot of cheaper tint does this, among other things (like that purplish tint you see on cars, that's faded tint) I made sure the place I got my tint would warrenty all these in the lifetime warrenty (it's solargaurd tint..HP charcoal series 35%, the max legal limit here). Look around at the installs too, make sure they install tint nicly, I've seen some hack job installs.

As for colors, I perfer black over mirror tint. I typilcally don't like mirror tint, I just don't think it looks very good on most cars. I usually perfer a nice black tint, limo tint. It always looks nice...do what you want though.

I can't see the pic you posted for some reason, but if your car is silver or white I'd say go with the mirror if you like it. But in my opinion if you car is any other color I can't stand mirror tint; especially when people have the mirror tint only on the bottom half of their windows. But again if you like it go with it man, you shouldn't rely on other people's opinions to interject into your own.

Take a look at the http://www.TintCenter.com site. It has color samples of 200 different window films from 7 major window film manufactures like SolarGard, Huper Optik, SunTek, etc... Hopefully you will find the highly reflective tint that you are lookign for.

Also has an article about different types of window film so you know it not only looks good, but that it will last.
