Which FMIC to get

Ok well this will be the last mod for the GSX. I was looking at intercoolers and narrowed it down to 2 http://www.slowboyracing.com/estore/...at=2239&page=1 and http://www.extremeintercoolers.com/2...it_street.html I have been thinking off and on for the last couple days which one to get since they will be around the same price. The extreme intercooler is about 10 inches wider than the dejon tool, but realistically, with a evo3 at about 18-20 psi and as close to 300 whp as possible, (probably more like 260)would i really need a 25 inch wide intercooler. Or would a 16 inch wide fmic suffice? The way the extreme intercoolers pipe routing looks it goes down right past the exhaust manifold which i would think would heat up the air, while the smaller dejon tools pipe routing goes completly away from the heat source. I guess i dont want to get one and end up wishing i got the other. But my real question is for ~300whp and 18-20 psi would the smaller fmic be fine? Thanks

Re: Which FMIC to get

I would personally just go with an ebay one with some generic piping, you could end up saving yourself $200-250. Just find a decent sized bar & plate ebay intercooler and then buy a piping kit for it, or just buy a whole kit.

Re: Which FMIC to get

I second that... Thats exactly what I did and it cost less than 300. That is ridiculous to pay 600 bucks man seriously. With the extra cash you could buy hookers or something useful...opcorn:

Re: Which FMIC to get

ebay is the way to go. bar and plate.

and go with the bigger one, it looks WAY cooler [not to mention the added performance]. the little ones are for girls and honduhs.

and if you think you are going to be happy with 300hp you don't have it yet. it never ends.

some people seek professional help for what these cars do to you.

I have that exact extremeintercoolers kit and its awesome. The piping fits perfectly the clamps are good the couplers really nice everything is just top notch. Sometimes you get what you pay for.
