what is so great about a civic

they realy suck, you could only do so much to them, and for the same price of a new si you could buy a mustang that was realy meant to go fast. I guess that you civic racers are realy environmentally concius since this pieces of shiat run very clean with very low emissions. one more question why buy the car that was meant to be the gas economy family car, yes the same car that many mothers and grand parents use to take their kids to soccer practice. Oh yeah the good old tunning options did you know that for the same money that you guys waste to make this wonderfull turtles reach 200hp you could have made the same stang go well pass 350hp, just tryng to point that out. in my opinion civics are the worst investment as far tunningg cars go, they suck and i beg you please prove me wrong because all of you know that im right. peace i feel like looking at civics from my rear view mirror

The thing about the civic is that they are fairly cheap, dependable, easy to mod., aftermarket support is strong. They are light which means power to weight ratio will help you out alot, they handle great.

Why wouldnt you buy a civic. Granted you could buy an SI for the same amount that you can buy a V6 mustang for.

The SI handles better, gets better gas mileage, You can easily make an SI out run a mustang becuase of all the aftermarket stuff that available.

I drove a 200SX it was even the Spec R (or whatever spec that is) a couple weeks ago. Let me tell you. It felt like a sled compaired to my EX. It was sloppy feeling, I just didnt like it at all. My girlfriends new
1.5L LX feels like it has more power and its only has 100 hp. The nissan has like 140 hp with 137 ft lbs of torgue (or something like that).. I was so disappointed in the 200SX it wasnt even funny. I wouldnt give you 10 cents for that piece of crap.

Give me a Honda anyday.

The only thing is all those cars are Turbod.. Throw a Turbo on an S2000 and look what you have it would kick a 300ZX's ass all over the road..Honda doesnt build fast cars they build good cars. In the same light they also build cars that people love. Why wouldnt you buy a civic to tune (besides the fact that there are so many of them.) Engine swap is cake, or you can Turbo it, supercharge it, put nitrous on it. It doesnt matter. There are parts to do what ever you want to it.

Im not even going to talk about the Skyline cause that is the Car above all cars.. and thats just a different story..

The S2000 puts out more hp per liter then anyother NA car on the road. Its dumb even trying to compare a Turbo car to a NA car.

Im not bashing Nissans,I love nissan cars, or any other car for that matter. I dont think the civic is the best car in the world, cause personally I would rather have something else. But I dont. I agree that there are a ton of Civics running all over the place, but what can you do about it. Nothing. Since the Civic is a good car thats why you see so many of them on the road.

If you think civics suck then thats cool. You dont have to buy one. But whats the point of sitting here trying to argue something thats just an opinion.

where are you from 200 SX? Cuz here in the good ol USA, you can't go down the street to the Nissan dealership and pick up a skyline. You can't just go down the street to the dealership and pick up a sylvia. If you want to talk about USDM cars, put your crap box 200SX next to an SI and see what happens. Nissan/Infiniti can't hold a candle to Honda Acura. The only nissan I would even get into would be a 300ZX (not around anymore) and a '72 Datsun 240Z. Look at the strictly USDM cars, forget about those JDM cars you jerk off over.

your little SI statement is bullshit my infiniti g20 i can take a Si with no prob even with bolt on mods and a 200sx ser model will do the same easy then my g just because of the weight issue the silvias are the same a 240sx and 300zx there are still plenty around your dodging the issue by changein the subject can you honstly say a stock s2000 could beat a 96 300zx as far as the skyline statement in one year you can go and pick up a infiniti g35 which is a skyline without awd which will give a nsx a run if you really belive what you said your full of shit ive been around nissan and honda both i will admit honda makes a good car there are just to many of them out there and they all lack torque

Well, I am going to pipe in my opinion here. I will give you my experiance with being lined up with a new Si. My car is a sedan, it is 7 years old. I just clocked over 140k on the odo. The only thing I have done to my car, is intake, and advanced timing. My friend here has a 00' Si, with intake, and exhaust, just clocked 18k. Beats me if he has messed with the timing. I can, on a regular basis, walk him off the line. If we are somewhere, like a freeway, then once we start hitting higher speeds (60-70mph) he will start to pull on me. Explain this?


As for you 200sx, I think you need to take a step back, and look at your godly 200sx. It is not exactly the worlds greatest car either. I am sorry to tell you this, but your car was not built for brute speed either. It was built to get good gas mileage, and be a low emissions car.

If I wanted a Mustang, I would have bought one.

I didn't buy mine for speed, for looks, or for tunability. I bought mine cuz the sucker was CHEAP! I still havn't spent the 8,500 dollars its worth yet and I've got mods (expensive one's) all over the car. No it can't beat a mustang to 60, but I have a website that shows a civic EX beats a mustang GT in quarter mile times. (civic 16.8 sec., 'stang ~17.2). now, I know there are WAY too many Civics on the road, and I feel kinda like I've got what everyone else has too, and it kinda sucks, but they are so much better cars than Nissan or anything else besides VW's that you would have to buy 2-3 of them in the span that you have a civic. Civics last 300,000 miles easy. You'd have to get a new Nissan every 100,000-200,000. That's why there are so many, they take so long before they get scrapped that they build up on the roads. Honda's also FEEL better than other cars. My civic feels like it was ment to be raced around. Other cars, well, Don't.

But it's mostly all opinions, so continue arguing if you wish, I don't see the point. I just answered your question, that's all.
