whats great about great britain?

i live in this so called great britain and i can't wait to leavethe country. i could go on and on about what makes me hate this country and i dunno where to start so here goes.

petrol....we pay the highest fuel tax anywhere. it costs about 80 pence a litre and about 60 pence of that is tax. insurance is bloody ridiculous. everyones making stupid claims against one another that premiums goes sky high for young drivers, i'm 23. if someone hits someone at the back at 5 mph, the person in front will probably sue that guy that hit him for thousands of pounds when in reality he never suffered any injuries. its silly. its pointless and just upsets everybody. if it was a serious accident then ok but littles one ain't worth it, you're the ones to blame for the rise in insurance costs. you moan about uninsured drivers but theres more now cos we can't afford it, thanks to these bogus claims.

the so called peoples goverment, who claim they are there for the people, spend all our hardearned money on the fucking shambles the dome, it was a failure from the start. the money they wasted on that could off bought us loads of hospitals, got the NHS back together, new schools and education, social care for the disabled, better public transport. did they do shit? they try eveything to get us off the roads and to use the badly run public transport, buses never on time, train delays akimbo, crashes galore, plane delays, i'd rather drive my car, more safer and i can get to my destination on time.

the police seem to spend all their time targeting innocent motorists. its more important to catch a speeding driver than it is to catch real crooks like muggers, rapists, theives and murderers. they're racists, there's always trouble between them and the ethnic minorities, ie riots. freedom, no such thing? everyones a criminal according to the filth.

the goverment is a soft touch. we are only a little country with overpopulated cities and yet they allow thousands of refugees in every week. i'm not being funny but we should kick them out, theres no room for them and its us having to foot the bill. they don't speak english, there's no chance of them working here so get rid of them. france is more than happy to help them get to britain.

northern ireland is another thing, nearly 30 years of innocent lives lost all because the ira want ireland united. northern ireland is not even part of britain so i say give it back, end of the violence. those in northern ireland who want to part of britain then move. if it stops the violence then do it. how many more people have to die.

i've been corresponding with friends in australia and i've always liked it there. so hopefully in the near future i shall pack up and head for down under. have a less stressful life, relax and chill, catch some waves, i'll be a happier person.

i didn't mean to offend anyone by writing this, just wanted a few things off my chest. hope you understand.

Sorry to hear all that dude. You have two options, try and change things so they dont suck so bad for you or get the hell out. Sounds like you're leaning for option two. I'd rule out Iraq and Afganistan for the time being.

Britain's no different than anywhere else in the world. Everything sucks, it's just the degree of suckiness is less in some areas and greater in others.

As for big govt., they suck by nature.

yeah i've been to England and i didn't really like it, always raining, and dark clouds..... i guess that's not that big a deal though

merc i'd say Canada is like a little brother of the U.S. it's nothing like britain, except for our government being more like the U.K.

If i were to move anywhere i'd move back to California, it was sweet there... plus the US isn't run by freakin liberals

mickey, I would highly recommend moving to Oz, 'cos i truely believe it's the best place in the world to live (yes, I am just a TINY bit biased )

We also have major refugee issues here as well. And just recently our tosser of a prime minister got re-elected

from all the places i've been, i would never want to move out of north america. I'm just used to the type of living here, suburbs, malls, etc. it's so much more cultural everywhere else everywhere else people keep the past, here everything seems pretty new

I lived most of my live in California and i miss it, i wanna move back there

if i could pick any place to go, i'd go back to California, i'd think about florida and hawaii though cause hawaii is just like the mainland just alot nicer

I'm like the exact opposite. I like all that culture and history, which the US sorely lacks. I think it's cool that some countries go back several centuries (or millennia). The closest we have is the east coast.

like it's beautiful and all, i just wouldn't wanna live there

it's good as a vacation spot... or maybe having a second vacation home there... like maybe in italy or monaco
