I'm 17 and want an LS1 Z28!
I see that they go for about $15,000 - $20,000 on eBay.
Does anybody on here who is a teenager have one? Do you recommend them? I love the looks of this one, with Z06 wheels on it. http://www.car-pixs.com/images/2001_...o_z28_blue.htm

I love mine, though I'm 22 now.
That site said that NBM is a rare color, and it's really not. It does look good in person though. I'm hoping to get a show set of Chrome Z06 rims for my SS (18x9.5's in front 18x11's in back). It'll either be those or a take of set of those black Corvette Grand Sport ZR1's. Should look good either way.

Cool. Do you have any pics of your SS? And when did they start making the newest body style for the Camaros?

OK you may not like my answer but you dont need an LS1, get a V6 for a while. I know you want on more than anything, but what a while. Your insurance will be less and you will be less likely to do something stupid trying to impress your friends.
Granted when I was 18 I had the car I have now, but I worked my ass off and made the down payment and monthly payments. If you are paying for it yourself more power to you, you'll appreaciate the car more and not do stuff in it just to impress your friends that might mess-up the car or cause you to loose it. The 4th generation Camaros are 93-02. The 93-97 models have the LT1 and look mine, the 98-02 models have the LS1 and look like the one in your link. |

He answered your question for when the 4th generation started, and it's breakdown. I started on a 95 V6 when my dad owned that car when I had a 90 Integra. It was a five speed, so I got to learn how to drive a stick on that. I didn't get the SS until October of last year, and I've been making the payments on it ever since (all shop work, insurance, gas, everything). They're a big responsibility when you have that much car to drive around. Just gotta be smart about it, and respect it, otherwise it'll turn around and bite you quick...
Whatever you get, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Thanks for the information.
If I do get a Z28 I would probably be paying for everything by myself. It would probably keep me from doing stupid things like you said. I've got a friend that has never payed for a car in his life, and he has had single car accidents where he has totaled three cars. His parents buy them for him and he does stupid things to wreck. I've got another question. If the Camaros aren't going to be made any more, are the prices for the used ones going to go up? Nice pics BLKCamaroSS. I would watch the video right now, but I am at college right now and the video won't work.

Yeah, I clicked it and it took a little longer to load than I thought it might, so give it a second when you have a chance to view it, it's just a short little thing. I wouldn't expect the prices on them to go up soon, though there will always be those dealers and people that think it's automatically more valuable and tack on an extra five grand. I've already heard of a bunch of that. Forget those retards and find one that you like for a good price and enjoy it!!!

Yeah some dealers are asses.
On the Camaro Z28 in the first link it has a Borla exhaust. Is that a good exhaust? I haven't really heard much about it. Pretty much everybody in Tennessee like Flowmaster. It's all I hear about here.

Thank you, it's all compliments of my Loudmouth exhaust. I love that exhaust. Seems like everywhere I've been Borla is the most common exhaust catback that I see put on LS1's. I personally didn't like the sound of them and I love the SLP Loudmouth sound. Once I heard it on a friend of mine's Firehawk, I was hooked. With borla, you can change the plates though to make it louder or not. Mine is loud all the time...
