If you dont' get one, you would be that much closer to getting that swap or turbo. At least that's what I tell myself. :licker:

I just got a cheap no name short shifter on my 5th gen sedan and I installed the Neuspeed bushings w/ it and I love it. It also helped me shift quicker w/ the shorter throw to increase my 1/4 time..

it's a good investment but make sure you hit your gears right w/ the stock shifter cause if not you will end up grinding gears when you go w/ the short shifter...

hope this helps...:frog:

yes

I have a '93 civic CX with a swapped SI, and I also have the short shifter, it helps in driving and in racing i don't do drags but i do autocross. And it's probably a mental thing too, if you think a 1/4 inch difference is gonna do anything then it probably will if you don't think so it probably won't. i say do what i did, drop in a new engine, ceramic headers, hi-flow cat and all new 2 1/2 inch piping to the aftermarket muffler

like you know how rubber bushings get soft and crack and break sometimes, and if this happens to your shifter bushings then you get alot of play with the shifter and sometimes you cant or its hard to get it into gears. getting bushings makes everything more smooth, urethane bushings.

the bushing itself holds the bolt that holds the shifter in place, so if the bushing gets worn out then it wont hold the bolt and shifter in place so that causes alot of play in the shifter. kinda hard to explain just get under and look at it.
