Has anyone heard about this? The Wall Street Journal apparently published an article about how the gay community is taking Spongebob as their own.
Now, for those of you that know little on this subject, Sponge Bob is the sponge character on SpongeBob Squarepants and has a main audience of 8-11 year olds. Recent statistics have shown something new though. ht eaudience age has grown and now goes up 40! 30% of it's audience is from 30-40 and now 8-15 but products sell through 5-40! Well, getting back to the main topic, a gay novelty shop has said that theeir largest selling merchandise is SpongeBob products. I was listening to a radio show about this and they got callers in with major opinions on this so, what do you think? It'spossible, because it's been done before where a group has takin something and made into something bad or their own. The swastika is a perfect example. it used to be a Native American symbol for something like peace(actuallly it's flipped but still), but now no one can look at it any other way than the way it was used by the Nazis. But anyhow, can you believe The Wall Street Journal doing that to a kids show? Oh, and since that happened, following the rules, can oyu name any other apparent gay cartoons? This is just so stupid!

Well apparently one of the Teletubbies is also gay.
![]() and I remember there was a big thing about Noddy and Big Ears and how they used to sleep together so hence they were gay. Some people have way overactive imaginations!

Yeah, but apparently Scobby and Shaggy are! It wouldn't be so bad if it was just something that started, but the fact it was started by The Wall Street Journal!

E-gads! What a stupid thing to waste time in a (at least I thought) respected paper.

First, they steal the rainbow, now they want Spongebob?!?! Oh that's it! We want the rainbow back! And you ain't gettin' Spongebob!
Are you sure this isn't more of Reverend Fallwell's garbage? He was the one who declared that "Tinky Winky" was gay...

But they can keep ABBA. We don't want it back.
(That's the second time I've post-whored and it's in Damien's thread too. Boy that dental work is worse than I thought) |

Bert and Ernie.
Bert wears turtle necks, and they share a room, and the bath. both are clearly favorite role models of Moss and Kicker respectivly, and I can certianly see a similarity between Spngebob and Damien.

Not to sure about Barney either....Anybody who hangs around with a young kid called 'BJ' has to be a bit suspect.
