I'll try to explain as much as I can in PM/IM... there's too many questions I've got to ask to help you out. It'd take too long.

Re: What am I doing wrong???

i have to ask a really dumb question first. Are u trying this ina front wheel drive? if thats a no then ur already doing better than a hit load of people. the easiest way to learn would be find a gravel or loose surface road b/c you can practice ur throttle control at a lower speed but the downside is it chews up tires quicker. maybe try a differant method of starting the drift. or just try to do smaller angles at slower speeds and build up. Its not easy and ill be honest im not that good at it but i understand most of it on a verbal level. that and i race dirt track so most of the stuff applies right over.

Re: What am I doing wrong???

i dont think there is anything wrong with front wheel drive drifting its accualy easier to correct then rear wheel drive. but i guess it just matters on how you learned to do it.

Re: What am I doing wrong???

i guess but its not true drifting its e braking. This is very debatable though those with fwds say its drifting and those that have anything else besides fwd say its jsut ass draggin.

Re: What am I doing wrong???

You're trying to drift...okay, where? an abandoned parking lot or your privately owned racetrack? It better be one of those.

Re: What am I doing wrong???

do you have any experience in racing at all? if not i would go autocrossing first, learn the real limits of your car. You will feel when it breaks traction and how it feels. After this you will have a better idea of what not to do to break traction and in the case of drifting what to do to break traction. If you cant figure it out after autocrossing go to drift 101 but i've never heard of someone that doens't get it after that.

Re: What am I doing wrong???

Yep... fwd on street with e-brake is ass-dragging. It was always a bitch trying it even though I've managed to connect a couple of switchbacks together... luckily.

I learned how to lose control of my crx on dirt/gravel roads. It's just as scary at higher speeds and more fun IMO.

fwd drift ftl
rwd drift ftw

Re: What am I doing wrong???

easiest way to learn though: rwd: make sure the e-brake is not a floor break... floor breaks wont work unless its wet, and they dont take affect untill yourn under the 10mph rating they are ALL set for
