think i found verdict in my v6 01 alero running hot

there is a bolt right by the head that has been leaking out coolant. it is the bolt right next to my coolant temp. sensor. how would it leak by that bolt is my question?

cracked intake or thier is not any teflon tape on the sensors threads.

they is teflon tape on the coolant temperature sensor. its coming right out the bolt right to the left of the coolant temp. sensor. i'll take a picture and show you tomorrow if possible.

It sounds like one of the LIM bolts which is very close to the ECT sensor.

Have you ever replaced the LIM gaskets? Sounds like the bolt is not properly torqued down or the LIM gasket has a problem.

no the lower intake manifold gaskets haven't been replaced and it is the lower intake manifold bolt that is leaking out of.

Well it is possible the bolt loosend its sellf from engine vibrations, and now it is leaking.

Though as I mentioned above the intake could be cracked from overtightening the temp sensor
I have seen Many cracked right there!

well here is a picture of the leaky spot in the lower intake manifold and a picture of one of the superchargers that i put on top of my engine to see if she would get pissed/upset and fix her leak or something (joking)

well i got the bolt torqued down until i can arrange some time to take her down for awhile and do it up right but in the meantime she is needed to get back and forth to places so i had to do what i had to do

my alero was leaking in the same spot, the intake was cracked, bought a used one for $40, got a deal, no leak, no problem, replace the intake manifold.
