Re: `79 Camaro Rebuild

looks better already! haha

is this going to be a repaint, or full frame off resto?

I might suggest lifting the rear about 3 scale inches, or dropping the front 2 and putting some modern deep dish rims.

Re: `79 Camaro Rebuild

I would suggest a full rebuild; I've done a couple and although they are a pain, the results are worth it. I'm sure familiar with that stained look after stripping! Besides lifting the rear, I would also fix the camber on the rear wheels and either strip the chrome and paint aluminum, or at least add a wash to the wheels. But I'm sure you've got plenty of improvement plans.

Re: `79 Camaro Rebuild

that looks sensational. I can't wait to see it all done! I am going to have to get a late 70's F body now.

Re: `79 Camaro Rebuild

Looks good. Like the colur combination.......I see youa re doing the window trim in black...are you just free handing it or did you tape it off??? I have found a cool way to get nice smooth crisp looking lines. Use metal foil and burnish it down nice all around like you would be leaving it chrome. Then paint over the bmf. when you have reached the desired colour trim around the outline of the frame leaving nice clean cut window trim! just a tip for ya! Keep the pics coming. Oh yeah arent those hood stripes a pain in the arse to get nice n straightr. I have my 79 painted in white with the same stripes, the body is getting stripped right now casue I srcrewed it up!
