My 2000 Century won't start. When I turn the ignition switch over, all I hear is A "CLICK". ALL of my lights, radio, windows are working, but car will not start. About a month ago, it started after sitting for 4 days and cranked everyday for about a month, then the same thing happened again.
Any feedback on this is greatly appreciative. |

Re: 2000 Buick Century won't start. Please help.
Welcome to AF.
How old is the battery? I would get it tested to include the alternator. The battery may have enough juice to power the lighting and accessories but not enough to turn over the starter. Also, check the battery cables and terminals.

I have to agree with Bob. Sounds like the battery has gone south on you. Just make sure to check the connections and the quality of the cables. They can cause a lot of issues if they are bad.

Re: 2000 Buick Century won't start. Please help.
I had the same thing happen to my 98 century and it was a corroded posetive connector on the battery. My Chevy venture also started doing this and the posetive post came out of the battery when I checked it. Take both connectors off the battery and clean them spotless with a wire brush if that does not work try a new battery.
