Re: carlaw for this kinda action?

HAHAHAHAHAHA, "It's doing 11's on the track" ... "It's got a rotary in there, and a turbo, and headers and all that?" ... "Yeah"...

HAHAHAHA, wow... That just made my day

EDIT: Sorry, I was laughing too hard to even think about what the original post was reffering to... But anyway... I think we should just laugh at them, and don't help them, becuase well... you can't help everyone out there who's like THIS guy... If they cared about what they were saying, they would try to learn something about it so that they dont look stupid, and obviously they dont... So let them be... Without people like him, this world would'nt be complete

Re: carlaw for this kinda action?

Public humiliation is perfectly acceptable for people that are this ridiculous.

I believe I have heard that this particular video is a setup though.

Re: carlaw for this kinda action?

it's all well and good, this "carlaw" thing. but you're forgotten one crucial thing.

you make rules/regulations and post them up, but those things will only apply to you guys who are involved.

making these rules/laws/whatever changes nothing, there will still be people who do a flyby and put on their hazards. there will always be people who can't handle losing. nothing changes.

We arent trying to change the world, simply make things easier to understand for future generations.
Your a mod, how many times have you had to close or move a thread from some noob asking: "Whats considered a win and whats a loss?"
"What should I do to my car to make it cool?"
"whats the best way to get into street racing?"
"let me teach you how to high way battle".
ect...

with these Carlaws we can simply have them read up and instantly see the prespective of people who have been laying ground and defying the sport for years now. Its a window into car-zen.

As to the question of should we make fun of them. I personally take it case by case. If they guy seems like hes bullshiting cause hes at a loss for explanations and does it in a way that he is trying to blend in then yes, I will lend a hand and guide them. Now if the guy is a loud mouth BSing jerk who wants the spot light simply to pull my tail then I will call him out on it and embarrass his ass.
Igovert once posted about some kid who claimed to have a Jetta that ran 8s or so and he called him out without mercy.

so its case by case man, kinda hard to Carlaw, I think its to each one's own discression and personality. I personally hate GT-R badges.

Re: carlaw for this kinda action?

i think the carlaw has more to do with af street racing rules then it does people all over. we dont expect everyone to bow down to carlaw especially if they have no idea who the heck we are lol

i say laugh and educate at the same time. it lets them know how rediculous they are, and makes them also do more research before they talk so they wont be so embarresed next time

Re: carlaw for this kinda action?

it wasn't an attack by any means. it's just that you're laying down these rules among yourselves. but the people in the "group" already agree on everything. not to use your hazards after a win, not to pointlessly "race" someone who's driving around in second gear etc..

i'm not involved, and it's not really my business. i was just saying that as much as you try, there will always be sore losers and people too arrogant to accept the ways of others.

there's only one thing i believe in in street racing, and that's that a car should be faster than it looks, not look faster than it is.

Re: carlaw for this kinda action?

i didn't mean to be rude or anything before, please don't take that the wrong way.

i've tried to change people/things for the better in minor ways. tried to open their eyes to different perspectives, only a couple times have i seen a difference made. people are overall ignorant and arrogant when it comes to perspectives.

Oh nah man, I didnt take it in bad terms. I know a few guys out there think what we are doing is dumb or pointless or whatever. I figure as long as it increases participation and the members all get along then its worth it.
You more then welcomed to join the Order, I've been sending invites to everyone who seems interested. I hope no one thinks Ive left them out, I simply dont know who wants in and who dossent. Ive had a few lead members turn us down so I dont assume everyone wants in.

but like I said bro, theres always more seats available at our table.

Tyte, I wanted the rotary GTR Mustang. He must have trouble hooking up on those 225 stock tires as he runs his 11 second ET.
