You're talking about the Infiniti G35? It'll flop in the US market? Engine choice is disappointing? Are you nuts?

As long as the quality is there, the G35 will be a much bigger hit than the G20 ever was. It's larger and has nearly twice the power. Most American kids (the majority of US people who actually know what a Skyline is) think the Skyline GTR has 280hp anyway so when the G35 comes in with about 280 TRUE horsepower, nobody will be disappointed.

When and if the coupe version comes to the US, I'm sure it'll be offered with even more power. But until then, I'll be happy that we got the Skyline sedan...the model that makes up most of the volume in Japan anyway.

The G35 will sell in much greater volume than if Nissan had imported the GTR only. Don't kid yourself, the GTR would not sell here in big numbers. The G35 will.

G35 outsell the GT-R? Due to insurance and what not perhaps, but there is no doubt that the GT-R will be the more desired of the two

Now to the original post, dieselpower, Can you be more specific as to what or which model it is you do not like?

If you are talking about the new Infinity G35, then I agree I don't like it as the new Skyline (sedan or not), but I think it's a very nice "car" and agree with Hudson that it will do well in the US. Nissan needs to do well to stay alive.

If you are talking about one of the "rumored" GT-R models that have been floating around the internet, then I'd have to say "hold your horses". These are nothing more than rumors at this time so I think we would be better off telling Nissan "WHAT" we want rather than what we don't. Saying we don't want the next Skyline in the US is just not true.

Now if you are trying to stop the GT-R from coming to the US because you don't like it then I suggest you run as far away from here as possible before Guiddy finds you and does his Tommy smack on ya

Hell NO

I would never be AGAINST GTR into the USA YOU CRAZY but I dont like the FACT of the REPACEMANT of the GTS which is the BNR35 which is on nissan web site ,

also for the GTR I will tell you what we will get Look at the Q45 that we have now OK immagine it on a short wheel base with a V-8 that has only 2wd and will be just a repace ment copy of the SC430 toyota coupe

so the R35 GTR that will be sold in the USA will only
have a 345hp V~8 from the New 2001 Q45
NO TURBO
NO 4wd
NO 4wheel sterring
NO 6-speed transmission only a 5-speed auto
NOT a car to stand out from the crowd Just another cookie cutter design

Hmm?! I don't know, unless you work for Nissan and you have fact's to back that up, you know what I mean?

I still say we would be better telling Nissan what we want and making ourselve's clear.

WE WANT AWD.
WE WANT TT.
WE WANT THE LOOK OF THE R32, R33, R34 TO CONTINUE.
WE WANT NOTHING LESS THAN 400+HP.
WE WANT IT UNDER $50K.
NO, WE WANT IT FOR FREE!!!!

OK that last one was a joke

Seriously tho, telling someone I don't want what you are giving me without knowing what "it" is in the first place is not a wise decision. Of course that's just my opinion and you are free to tell Nissan you don't want the R35.

Good luck

VERY MUCH A CLEAR POINT , GET SOME SERIOUS CRITICISM BEFORE Releasing it JUMPING THE GUN ON THIS

I CAN NOT AGREE WITH YOU ANY MORE,

Hell Nissan should take people like us up to its test track and let us see what they have in mind before they release it, reason I say this IS WHEN I USE TO WORK FOR BMW AG in the R&D in Prototypes Test Driving, comments are not tolerated and shit if you make a serious Comment About a cars handling have fun because there are serious repercussions, and when in the business environment YOU are always worried about what the person in the NEXT cubicle is doing and this creates a place where ENGINERES are cut off from the Real world and this should be changed, reason should be changed is look at the R34 and look at the R35

Reason I know about the Engine layout is becasue look at the SC430 Toyota look at the engine displacement Now remember the ealry Japanese Toyota SC300 & 400 use to be called a SORAR with the Supra 3000cc Twin Turbo ok if they stoped putting the Turbo motor in the SC430 in Japan just think what will be in the new R35 GTR ------ 280ps V~8 Crap from Renualt

No offense but your just talking about bang for your buck or whatever. You don't by a Skyline GT-R just because you can make it a Ferrari killer for cheap (atleast it's cheap in other countries...). :P

plus you act like Ferrari's lineup can't be tuned...

Here's some new stuff from Koenig heheh

DUDE its like evey ferrai owner who has one thinks they are the shit on the road and its like man I would never want to drive one of these sad excuse of an exotic car. what a waste of gooood money

Heck with the $750,000 of the price of an F50 heck you can get a fully built and preped HKS built R34 with all options and put a DaMM nice down payment on a House in a Nice area ~~~~~~!

if you're sayin that Ferrari owners aren't happy with their cars, that couldn't be farther from the truth

that's not the point.... people buy Ferraris for many different reasons
first of all it's more exotic, people buy it to be different, they want a car that not many other people own. People also buy it as a status symbol, etc. etc.

i thought everybody knew this
