stopping skyline imports

today someone tryed to tell me that soon you won't be able to import skylines into australia. Or at least lower the volume that is coming into australia. Is this true and if so WHY??????????????

Hi,

This is very true for all imported cars. The government are changing the import scheme as of June (I think). They are moving to a scheme called SEVS where all compliance workshops have to be ISO 9000 certified and will only be eligible to comply 100 cars annually no matter how types of cars they can actually comply.

The government is just doin this because alot of people are buying
imports and taking money away from the local car makers.
