Re: where is everybody?

I'm still alive. Just happen to be posting in many forums as well. I went riding today because it was 78 deg out.

Re: where is everybody?

Sometimes forums get slow when the weather is nice, people are outside doing stuff instead of being stuck inside with nothing to do.

Went riding today since it stopped raining and was 55 degrees out.

Re: where is everybody?

It's hard to stay in a cycling kinda mood when it's so "cucking fold" outside. Here in Michigan, it was -5 with the wind-chill factor last night. They say it'll hit the 50's by the weekend, with overnight lows only dipping to 40'ish, so my Harley will be out if the roads are clear. Don't fret the breakup es, you're young and seem like a nice guy, there'll be more.

Re: where is everybody?

It's good to be in California...we're going to have some 94 deg weather this weekend--nothing less than 80 for the upcoming weeks.

The only think that bogs me down is my allergies.

Re: where is everybody?

Between snow and sub-freezing windchills, I'm not much in the mood to talk bikes.

That, and work is keeping me swamped since I lost half my workforce last Friday.

actually riding takes my mind off work. last week was a hectic day at work--so glad it's over.

I can't imagine riding in freezing weather. During the winter here it was probably 50 deg.

Re: where is everybody?

I can't decide if my bike is just more stress, or if it will help after a long day at work... especially since a co-worker is a biker, too. I might try riding into work a few times and see if it helps or just makes me angrier... my guess is that it's time to sell the bike and get out of my parents' house.

Re: where is everybody?

I live in north western Oregon, it basically rains from late October until usually sometime in April, I passed my riders course in November, then bought my ride two weeks later.

Basically what I have found that I can tolerate is that if it is not raining and above 40 degrees I go riding, anything below 40 my hands go numb even with gloves on.

Re: where is everybody?

Saturn, how can your bike be a source of stress?! There is nothing better than taking a putt or carving some corners (depending on what you ride) after a stressful day. I just got my new windshield, gonna install it tonight after work so she's ready to ride. I have the saddlebags on her, and removed all the fringe (you can't really see it in the pic in my signature, but it was on it when I bought it, and had to go) and will be installing my Rinehart pipes soon. I'll post some new pics when I get it all done. The pipes might wait until after this 50+ weather we're supposed to be getting so I can ride it. The pipes may require a re-jet on the carb, and I don't want to be riding it too rich/lean. I've been chomping at the bit, as we had warm enough weather to ride up until January 5th, then it got "cucking fold" and crappy.
