Taurus 02 OBD Code P1336
Newbie Here to the forum! The light engine came on last week and I finally got my hands on the OBD reader. P1336 is the error code i got, Can anyone help me understand more about this code? and what do i need to fix? is it a serious problem? or where can i get more info about this?
So far the car drives fine on highway and streets. Thank you for your help. Here is a little background about my car: 2002 Taurus SE 3.0 OHV (Vulcan) Automatic 96,000+ Miles |

Re: Taurus 02 OBD Code P1336
It has to do with the Crankshaft Positioning Sensor or the associated wiring or components. The sensor tells the PCM where the crank is and helps determine when to fire the coils and the fuel injectors.

Here is diagram of its location. However, it may be something other than sensor. Wiring, connections or corrosion can cause it.
