Exclamation Need help installing a turbo on my 99 Si

Im looking into getting a turbo and was just curious as to how complicated it is to install? The kit includes the following stage3 T3 T4 turbo AR .63/FMIC intercooler, blk piping with silicone hoses, version s BOV, wastegate 8psi, turbo boost controllers, turbo manifold B-series and a racing radiator. I dont think putting the the turbo, intercooler, BOV, wastgate, piping, and manifold will be to hard but what about the boost controller? does it just run into the car and u set it by yourself? Also do i need to get any extra stuff such as bigger injectors and if so how many cc, a new fuel pump and i dont know what else? Also what would it cost to get it installed at a shop if I decide not to? Sorry if these questions sound stupid but im new and just need a little help. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

thanx!

Re: Need help installing a turbo on my 99 Si

we need more info about the setup before we're able to help you...installing the setup isnt bad if you have a good knowledge of cars and are good with your hands. I've done two of my own setups alone....

i cant help you decide on injectors and other parts until i get more info first....

Re: Need help installing a turbo on my 99 Si

the instalation is usually easy, it's tuning it(a/f ratio, etc..) that's a harder!! BTW is it this a custom kit that you are assembling youself or it's a kit they sell on the market already made??

Re: Need help installing a turbo on my 99 Si

The amount of boost you can put will depend on if your using stock internals or not( and ofcourse depends on what your using for cooling and fuel)

If its from Ebay, dont waste your damn money....its all junk. If you already bought it, that sucks....

Re: Need help installing a turbo on my 99 Si

that budget is a little on the small side if you want good parts. I paid around $3k USD for mine and it wasn't anything impressive. My new setup is pretty sweet, but still i'm in the $4-4500 range. If you want something worthwhile, plan to spend the money....

It is horribly cliche, but you can pick two of these options

1. Reliable
2. Fast
3. Cheap
