Re: 87 monte carlo SS

That looks good for a Welly. I also like the setup in the trunk. The spare is still there right?

Is it as good as the Ertl?

Re: 87 monte carlo SS

i took the spare out.. needed the space.. it compairs ok to the ertl.. not nearly the amount of details.. for instance.. the Ertl. the engine is completly wired and plumed.. and the driveshaft moves with the wheels.. etc.. very nice car for the money tho.

Welly 87 monte carlo SS

Would it be possible if you cut the right side of the support to make a 90 degree angle or did you already cut the floor too much to do that? I know you made a support for the subs but I would really like to see the spare with it. It looks more 'authentic' with the spare...

Re: 87 monte carlo SS

I didnt have to cut up the floor at all to put the amp in there.. I found one of thoes black think plastic binder.. and it was textured.. and I cut that to the size of the bottom of the trunk.. and then cut the slot for the amp and glued it down.. so everything comes out of the trunk to make it "stock"
I would put the spare tire in.. but im going for a clean install look.. I might try to figure out something to make it look better.. but i doubt it will be on the stock rims for too much longer.. thanks for the comments.. any requests on pictures for this car.. just let me know

Re: 87 monte carlo SS

Again, very nice. And how do you get rim/subs and stuff for the car?

(ps. what are you going to paint it)

Re: 87 monte carlo SS

You plan on putting any form of brakes behind the wheels?

Re: 87 monte carlo SS

Yes I am going to put some sort of something behind the rims.. probably break dust covers. I just put the rims on the axle to see how they would sit with the stock height of the car. As for the paint job. I have no idea yet.. Im going to leave it silver for now.. then im going to take a mild acitone and get the red pinstriping off the car.. and im already set with the silver base coat for some Kandy color. rims and subs I get off of jada toys diecast cars.. or I make stuff myself..
