resin casting kits
is there any kits that i can get so i can start casting resin parts and maybe do a few promos?

There are some, specifically Alumilite (Good stuff BTW), but they offer such a small amount of stuff they aren't really enough for a few small molds. I would just go ahead and get full amounts of the mold compound, resin, cups, stir sticks, etc.

I would serious look into Polytech as they manufacture superior resin and for the same price as a Micromark or Alumibites kit, you get twice the amount of product and far better quality. Talk to a rep, tell him what you want to do and he will tell you what you need. These "kits" are a rip and bad quality, i learned the hard way.
More specifically, Polytech 1512 resin and Silicone Inc. P90 Mold compound is a winning combination used by the best resin casters in the states.

I found that the CR600 resin from micro mark is quite good, but you need to follow the directions VERY CLOSELY. if you use just small ammounts at a time, you should use measuring eye droppers to measure it out, but if you are going to mix larger ammounts, then the cups work fine. the CR 600 makes a very close to plastic feeling product, has ever so slight amount of flexability, sands gread, mills fantastically, but don't try to cut it with a #11 blade, it is just a bit to brittle.
