Re: steering wheel radio control installation

WELL... I FIGURED IT out by myself... in case anyone here needs to know... heres how to change them...
1. wiggle out old switches.
2.pull and disconnect old switch.
3. unscrew rear cover plate of steering wheel (2 torx head screws).
4. pry lower part of plastic back.
5. Locate a black wire that runs around the wheel from the hole where the switches were located and runs to the bottom of the steering wheel.
6. There is a hook that holds the wire onto the corner eof the steering wheel.
7. pull the wire loose from around this hook.
8. pull the wire harness outward out of the hole in the wheel.
9. plug in new switch.
10. take an allen wrench or something of the sort and pull the wire back through the hole and wrap the wire back over the hook.
11. push new switch back in... test... and tighten the rear wheel cover back on and your finished!

Re: steering wheel radio control installation

Good job on the repair. I did it on a '94 GP, you had to remove the airbag to do it.

How about posting your procedure at our Tips & Maintenance forum. See link below. Pics would be helpful but not necessary. Thanks.
