Thumbs up 2004 WRX Facelift PHOTO

in case you haven't seen it, here's the facelift on the WRX everyone's been talking about. Shown last week at the Paris Auto Salon.

I think it looks alot better. No more dodge neon jokes. though the headlights look like they're right off a 2001 Toyota Corolla?! someone else had posted a shot of the revised tail light too somewhere around here.

this image is the STi model of course, which we're supposed to see in US spec at the Detroit show in Jan 03.

So the biblical scholars mis-translated the Hebrew word for "young woman" into the Greek word for "virgin," which was a pretty easy mistake to make, since there is only a subtle difference in the spelling. But back then it was the "virgin" that caught people's attention. It's not every day a virgin conceives and bears a son. So you keep that for a couple of hundred years, and the nexy thing you know, you have the Roman Catholic church.

Cheer up Chum
Not all the photos were posted in this forum, some were posted in the model car forum too, we are just as Subaru crazy over there as over here
BTW, I still appreciate you posting all the shots, I love every oppurtunity to drool over such a wonderful car.

i can't speak for the rest of the world, for us in the USA, it will be an 04 model year, though introduced in calendar year 03. the 03 model year cars are already in our showrooms, with the same look since their introduction in calendar year 01 as an 02.

Thumbs up I like it!

Ther new looks are cool. I really like the new styling. I would like to know more about the rest of the car. If that is and STi, does that mean that it will be available too? Also, what will the engine, tranny, suspension specs be for that car? I would love to get a WRX with more power, stronger drive train *plus* new styling too!

Please post more info on this great new STi

Tsunami Racer speaks the truth, I asked my local Scooby dealer and he says they are only expecting the new style in for the 2004MY.
Guess I will have to wait......

I agree

I think that back looks a bit better, but the front now looks worse. And what's up with the huge hood scoop? Personally, I'll stick with the -01 and -02 Scooby, but I do like the larger spoiler...

The new back is nice, the rear lights I could manage to look at. The front end looks like a freakin gorilla face, those lights are ugly, the front bumper is and the hood scoop is huge and shaped retarded. Where does Subaru get their designers in R&D? The look right now is pretty good I think, stock WRX doesn't look too good, but I have found so many sweet aftermarket parts that you can make it look so much better. Subaru really need to take their car designs into consideration, I think they should keep the new rear tail lights, but sport a new face for the front, the same hood scoop would look fine and the older Impreza 2.5 RS hoods were hot with the vents. The head lights and interior are what need to be changed. The interior needs a big redesign.

It's coming to Australia 2003 by all accounts. Not the STi though, I don't think.
