Irish 01 Primera

2 things about my Irish 01 Primera P11 (144) :

Firstly car was recalled last year to have the faulty engine sensor replaced. The symptoms of this was that engine revs could die off to idle at any time. This seemed to happen mostly in 1st & 2nd gear, the result being a massive random flatspot. (Not very userful when pulling out into moving traffic). Yowever I had the sensor replaced at the fist service but the problem seems to be re-occuring. Has anyone else had this problem?

Secondly, this model has the integrated stereo. If you turn the stereo off and then turn on back on try the following:
Press "1" twice in quick succession beofre the 'NISSAN' display appears and you will see a long string of letters & numbers. What does this mean?
Repeat and try with "2" for a different string.
Finally try with "3" and the stereo refuses to run on - must cut ignition completely and restart car!!!
