Talking New 3rd Gen Firebird Owner

I just got a used '86 Firebird about 5 months ago and I'm almost done getting all the minor kinks worked out (passing smog - done, getting the lights to raise and lower - working on it this weekend, and getting the steering fixed - screeches when I do a u-turn, and body modification/paint job) and I was wondering what all of you think I should done first to the engine cusz I have no clue where to start.

Not yet, it's kinda craptacular at the moment. The paint is hardcorely fading (chipping in some parts) and I want to get a dope @$$ body kit on it when I get some money to get a new paint job, then I'll take some pics.

dicktenor: On the headlights, at first when I got my 3rd Gen, the lights would go up, but not down, and all it was was a bad light switch, easy to replace. But now one of my lights only wants to come all the way up half the time (so I keep flipping the lights on and off to get it all the way up), and the motor doesn't stop spinning when its all the way down, so the motor must be bad. If your motors are bad, they cost ~$180 each from the dealer, and the salvage yard I checked for one wanted $100 and the trade in, which means they could be fixed, and I'm looking for a site about that right now infact. Also, be gentle with your inside door handles, I was pissed off, pulled it too hard, and thought I broke the little plastic clip that connects the pulling arm to the actual door latch, but it turns out I broke the actual plastic on the handle!

Well, i know the motors are good cuz my dad also had an '86 for a while and it was kinda like the guinea pig for my car and we tested the motors on his and it worked fine. Then before we could figure out the specific problem, he sold it so now I know it's either the relays or the switch, although the switch seems fine, the relays were all full o' gunk and nasty grime and $hit. My plan of attack is as soon as I get some decent money, I'm gonna go to a junkyard around where I live where they have like 6 3rd gens and I've confirmed 4 of them have the light stuff working.
