Fine detailing using Isograph pen ?
just wondering if anyone has tried using one of these pens with thinned tamiya acrylic paint ?
![]() they have a refillable cartridge and are designed to be used with coloured inks. i have one from when i studied technical drawing at college. i've used it with watered down artists acrylic and it does produce a very neat line on paper. i reckon if tamiya paint was thinned just right, it would work great on models for details such as badges/logos etc. i'm going to have a play around with it tonight but just wondered what you guys thought...

Re: Fine detailing using Isograph pen ?
i used to use one way back in the day when my dad did board drafting, worked well for me. haven't used one in a while though, i've been instead using a non-refillable one with a fine felt tip that works very well...

Re: Fine detailing using Isograph pen ?
You have to thin the paint pretty well to get it to flow, so opacity on things like badges would be poor. But they are useful sometimes. I used one with Tamiya acrylic black to do the black trim lines around the F40 body.
