Engine similarity?

Does anyone know whether or not there are similarities between the engines in the ls400 and sc400? I know they are both V-8s and have around the same horsepower...

what do you mean except for the displacement... aren't they both 4.0L V8s ?

no. I stand corrected. they're the same. I thought the SC had more horsepower.
