Why mod at all?

Why performance mod anyways? I am proud to have a stock 00 Maxima. She may not run as fast as a Type R Integra thats been moded from bumper to bumper but she still moves better then most other cars i have driven. In our world today who really goes over 90 on the freeway? If you live in big Cities who can go faster then 55 without hitting a wall of cars? People in L.A that drive on the 605 and 60 when you get off work know what im talking about. I say, keep it clean and make her pretty, Shine it so that i blinds the police and shape that bady to turn the heads of ricerocketeers. My car cant beat a RX7 but my friends love to pile into it and have plenty of leg room. I love the fact that she can still move with some umph when fully loaded too.

If you want to you can use the thousands of dollars you would spend modding youy max and buy a 86 RX7 or a 3000gt or maybe a Supra (if you are convince by the movie that its so good)and mod that, then take it to the track. A 255 hp car doesnt need any more umph for everday driving, it got enough umph and more to spare

Sorry for sounding like a hypocrit but I got a strut bar in mine and the turns feel oh so better so you might want to try that. I'm thinking of adding a sway bar next and maybe some GT brakes like Chestons got:flash: and maybe some adjustable struts(but keeping the height stock, I load up a lot of things in my car and the roads I dive on arent lowered car friendly)

I would say there are 4 different components in racing, each has the ability to be modified, and each has its own group of followers.

1. Acceleration
2. Top Speed
3. Handling
4. Braking

Not everyone who mods their car does it for top speed. Sure, 255 HP is quite a bit, but 355 HP will get you to 60 a full second quicker, maybe even more. Just remember, we aren't all here to go 150+. Personally, I think head snapping acceleration is more fun than anything you can do in a car, except maybe power sliding, hehe.

why NOT mod? then every maxima would be just like every other maxima. lack of variation is boring. plus if i didn't hear my intake every time i stopped the gas and my exhaust every time i let off, i'd miss it. plus if a part goes on a car why not replace it with a performance mod?
