Bb512

Hello all

It is the Fujimi new 1/24 plastic kit and it shows that the new engineering by Fujimi had improved when compared to the old ferrari car kit by itself.

You can see the grilles on the engine cowl is all done, unlike those require to replace by PE grilles.

I have primed the whole body and it seems that not much mould lines were found.

Also, the panel line were well define. If you are a bit lazy like me, no deepening job is needed for it.

Understand that some modeler experienced fitting problem with the body, I did the test fit job to see how it is like and it seems that it should be okay. Of course the front bumper is not accomplished by friction-fit, you will see a gap in between the body with it but it should be okay since I have test-fit it before.

As usual, I have sprayed the body with foundation pink first.
For the body colour, I decided to try the Finisher's Rich red, which is specialized for BB512.

Stay tuned

Mikusen

The new Fujimi kit renders all previous efforts of this car by other mfgs. null and void. It's really a nice kit.

Re: Bb512

I m guessing it's just the lighting, or I'm just color blind, but your finnisher's red looks mighty pink!

looks like a damn fine kit, and you are doing a fantastic job. and you have some photo skills to boot!

Looking good so far. I have yet to pick up one of these new Fujimi Ferraris, but threads like this are seriously making me want to.

Heh.. that Finisher's red is a two part process, if i'm not mistaken, that starts with a pink base coat.

It is the colour of Finisher's foundation pink before spraying the body colour.

Re: Bb512

that is one sharp looking kit.
the signs are good for the 365 Boxer I've got on order.

only question I've got is, what's the engine detailing like in the kit?

Re: Bb512

Hi,

kit looks good, your progress, too.

The way you paint the body (red over pink) is exactly what Ferrari does with its 1:1 cars.

Re: Bb512

Very nice introduction of this kit. If it is that good - and I trust you on this - I sure need one. Which´s manufacturers pink under paint coat do you use? I should try this on my 365 GTB as well.
