Question Exhaust Question?

Ok, am thinking of going with an Apexi N-1 muffler and custom 2.25" piping... anyone know how well this would sound? Or how good it would be for power gains?

you need to ask the muffler shop what kind of pipe they use for their custom exhaust. They should use probably two different kinds.i personally would get a greddy and have the other muffler hooked up to that exhaust if you want a deep, quiet sound.

That made no sense. why get a greddy system and hack it up to put an apexi muffler on it? anyways there is a kid at my work who has a Galant with an Apexi muffler on it and he had 2.25 " pipe run and its loud..........

The Apexi N1 is going to be really loud even if you have a cat and resonator. The straight through design is good for flow but not for sound control.

you could always have the shop put more resonators on. a good shop could get just about the sound your looking for, but then it does restrict the flow

My Bosal/Brospeed exhaust sounds good. It's not that deep, but it's not at all ricey either. It was only like $375 including shipping I think. PLus it's stainless steel so it should last.

I've got a full DC Sports Stainless Steel setup, and it sounds great. Not too loud, but deffinitely throaty... good stuff. When I do my swap, though, I'll be getting a ceramic header instead... The SS flanges have a tendency to rust out.

I have thermal R&D from the catback. Sounds decent. Not loud. but sporty and deep.
