Speed sensor

Can anyone tell me where the speed sensor is on a 88 Buick Century with a 2.5 motor?

How about getting your facts straight. There was a L4 2.5L Vin "R" available in the Custom, Limited and Special Century models for 1988 and up to 1992.

If you are referring to the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) then it is located at the right transaxle extension where the right axle shaft enters the transaxle. You'll see the wiring harness and electrical connector to it. There were two autotransaxles available. A 3 speed, GM RPO code MD9 and 4 speed, GM RPO code ME9. The 4 speed is basically a 4T60-E.

Re: Speed sensor

AH.. good to know about the 2.5L..

I researched that year via my Mitchell resources and there were no references shown available to see there on the 88'.
Took an assumption.. became one. heh.

Thanks.
