Re: White or Grey Primer for TS-17?
TS17 is Gloss Aluminum.
I never used it, but if it's like Silver leaf, any primer will do. The paint cover a lot so gray or white won't affect the final color. (I even used Silver leaf paint as primer when I was short in real primer)

Re: White or Grey Primer for TS-17?
Use whatever primer you have the most of, as the silvers cover extremely well over white or gray.

Hi JB, As I guess it's for the 206 I'd say use white primer if you have it, that's what I do. My brother even don't use primer and use TS 17 on the body, as it covers really good. But if you really want to use primer, choose white ! Phil PS: letter with parts and decals for you is on the way...

Re: White or Grey Primer for TS-17?
I used grey primer when I sprayed TS-17, it didn't effect the outcome any.
As mentioned before, under TS-17 it doesn't matter what color primer you use.

Easy. When I doubt always use white for any color. It’s the only one I keep.

Re: White or Grey Primer for TS-17?
As said above most silvers cover extremely well. Even using a black undercoat works well for some.

Re: White or Grey Primer for TS-17?
If id have to choose i would say white primer because at some angles it may be confusing to tell if you covered all of the piece with paint.

A black undercoat can actually help a silver paint to look more....silver. I doubt that it will make any different on the TS-17 though as it most likely will cover whatever you put it on. Niclas |

Re: White or Grey Primer for TS-17?
Further to my previous comment - I guess you are planning to use TS-17 on your Peugeot 206? If so, then I've always used a grey primer on my silver 206 models and have been very happy with the results. I hope to be building a silver 307 later in the year and will certainly go the grey primer route again, although maybe giving the Tamiya Mica Silver a try.
