Re: Next VW_project

if you are good with paint (on chrome that is) the old AMT '49 mercury coupe has some that look just like that but I think they are a little deeper, I may be wrong. I have about a hundred of them in my parts box. I can dig some out and send you some if you PM me your mailing address. (if you are outside the US, I'll have to ask for you to cover postage)

I built a really nice set of rims that look similar, but have rivets around the outside of the center section of the rim. I just used the 10 hole rims from an AMT 94 Ford F150 and glued the center cap from the gunze-sangyo Karmann-Ghia. they turned out fantastic, but the Ghia' paint went to crap, and I just stuffed it into a box about 90% finished.

Make it come out of the roof, in the corners, one chromed pipe at each side with a curved top as for trucks !

Re: Next VW_project

it is SO difficult to come up with an exhaust that looks good on these cars.

here's a thought. make it a side exit in front of the back wheels. on that bus, you can tuck the muffs under the frame and nice fat super trapps out the side.

or just run dump hedders out the back with some 'trapps, that'd be pretty cool.

Re: Next VW_project

Go for a Dynomax exhaust, they are the coolest IMO
