AWD is better, much harder launches and more tracion, other than that, RWD, and its fun when you start spinin em and skip out to one side a bit before the posi kicks in

I don't see what this has to do with Stress Release.

you wouldnt understand, your not into racing and this is the ancient agrument of racing

To have such a poll, or discussion can release stress, perhaps he is putting it here to try to feel better getting votes for his side, perhaps you should ask him...

All I know is to wave the banner of my type of car without having to be insulted is welcomed

I am an American. So guess what I like. I am a ford man. No, a ford 17 year old. I own fords, I drive fords. I just posted this to see where everybody stands and maybe to argue with someone and in turn, release stress. I can't yell at anyone at home, so I'm yell at you for liking Imports. If, by chance, you live in the U.S. you should be ashemed of yourself. I would. If you like Japan cars so much, go live in Japan or China or wherever the hell they come from. I hate Chevy, but I would rther drive a Geo Metro then an Import.

See, now I feel a little better.

Ohhh, you got me, I am so ashemed now, whatever that means.

If you knew diddly about "imports" you would know that many are designed and built in the US. Nissans for example (like the new Altima) are designed in their Cali. headquarters, and manufactured in various plants, including one in Mississippi. Last I checked, both of those states are located in the good ol' U S of A.

And I know you said Geo Metro, but you do realize that the Geo Prizm was also sold as the Toyota Corrola, don't you? Just because it's sold by an American badge doesn't mean it's and American car underneath.

You can have your poor crash-test results, poor reliability (Focus, anyone?) but I am sticking with a brand that is proven reliable, and I drive Consumer Reports' #1 recommended used car. Incidentally, though this car has not been crash-tested in the US (too few sold), it is recommended by Europe's #1 insurance co. as one of their top-10 safest family sedans.

You can drive whatever car you like, or "own" but don't go getting all self-righteous if you don't know the facts.

Crash test results
Example two
Example three
Example four

Granted, they arnt all A+, but there are extremly few bad marks, with mostly good marks. Granted most give somewhat poor results to the 2 door pasenger side, if you do reasearch youll find its only minor injury, and I dont know about you but being t-boned and walking away with a brused rib or no injurty sounds good to me.

I hate to make you eat your words but ya know, attacking Ford, kinda upsets me.

He has the right to have his opinions, and this is stress release, he dosent like imports and this is his way of venting, so back off I say. Granted he did kinda ask for it by telling you to be ashamed of yourself, perhaps you should be ashamed of yourself for giving false info.

And if i'm not mistaken not only did he say METRO, (yes, I do know you pointed that out) but its not a import remake like the prizim. Its a GM and thats that.

But you know what, i'm sure your very self-righteous and he should be shamed

So you'd drive a Geo MEtro before you would drive a Skyline GTR (more than 300bhp and AWD)- and the Geo MEtro was designed in Japan as the Suzki Swift/Subaru Justy

American (Especially Ford) brand cars usually have little gonig for them.......They offer shitty reliablity, the worst build quality I have come across, gas-guzzling engines, nothing in the way of refinement and nothing in the way of re-assuring handling- just cause they have V8's doesn't make them the best in the world- is it any wonder American cars rarely succeed in Export markets???

OT....The Altima looks a lot like the P12 Primera IMO- but those Aleetza- style lights are awful :apuke:

Why even dream about having a skyline if you can't afford one. You know, 4 wheels is better then none.

My friends eclipse had to have a new head gasket after two months, without racing or driving it hard, or even that much.

For how much faster I am than most imports I come across, I think i'll take the MPG difference (my 28 freeway vs a civics 32, and with body kit around 29 or so)

Well, I was wrong about the metro, but not about the newer metro if i'm not mistaken. The Chevy metro is redesigned to not be an import clone, I dont know for sure but defentally I will be attacked if this isnt so.

And if you say ford isnt relyable your hanging around too many chevy guys or you simply have never driven a car in your life. I've owned several fords, my family has owned many fords, some friends have owned fords. Ford has weird ways of building their cars, sometimes a pain in the ass to work on but extremly relyable. Why do you think you see so many mustangs still around? Because they are just so damn hard to kill.

BUT- The Eclipse counts as a "domestic".......It was designed in the US with the purpose of being sold in the US........and "kwality" control in the US is SHOCKING

As for the "new" Metro ITS THE SAME FUCKING CAR with a different badge and a facelift

But you are also picking on only one car- you are constantly saying Civic, Civic , CIVIC!!!!!!! for chrissake- A non-GTR Skyline, Mitsi Evo III or 300ZX TT would eat your stupid Yank Tank alive- for near the same price (At least in NZ)

I will step in for my bro Jimmy here as well- Don't you dare say he has never owned a car- he has owned 18 in his 12 years of driving- included in that is a 67 (I think) Mustang- he had to sell it because the maintenence was costing him a fortune- Of course he can't speak highly enough of his European, Australian and Japanese Ford(s)- I will quite happily admit to you that out of all the new cars on sale in the US, Europe, NZ/Aussie, Korea and Japan- that the new Mustang has the worst interior quality of all- It was a cost-cutting exercise- hence they make more- screw the kwality

just for the record- most of the Mustangs I saw in Cali were new ones- I saw about 3 80's models- that is it.........

I used to like Domestic V8's like Camaros, Mustangs and Firebirds- but rednecks like yourself and your n00b buddy who started this thread have turned me into a Japanese/Euro car man
