Domestic vs Import

Ok... let's get this straight...I own a 98 Z28 but I love imports too... but I was just wondering how people on this forum can say that imports are faster than domestics when you have cars like my friends 93 Trans Am with a 383 stroker motor pushing over 500 horsepower only motor and a 300 shot of nitrous to boost it?? Name an import that can beat that? by the way he runs lowww 10's but I'm not trying to start an argument, but how can you compare the 2?
