ah yes, the very famous window problem with your 4th and 5th gen accord..I don't know why, but honda sucked when they put these babies together..anyways, heres what you do, and yes, ive done this myself numerous times, depending on how technical you want to get or how much spare change you want to say bye too (which isn't much) go out and buy a new window motor, (in the cheap case get it fron a junk yard), or if your really cheap and lazy, lube up the rubber gasket that runs around the window with WD40 or something similar, and your window should go up and down faster than your car on cut springs on that really bad road you just can't avoid (you know which one)... but you have to re-apply your lube often, so ive found it easier to just replace the motor.

fyi, its not just the motor, it is the whole assy. You can get them from junkyards yes, but the motor specifically is just part of the problem as it is massively undersized to begin with, and will be essentially the same as the one you are taking out as it is from the junkyard. However, this is a blanket statement, some yards rebuild and give a warranty, check before you buy. More important overall is the whole regulator assembly itself, they wear out over time, well in this case, very quickly.

accordstore.com has these "kits". Its where I got mine and will take you about an hour or two to get both sides done at a leisurely pace. search for "window regulator " and you'll hit it right away. These are only for the G5 accords tho, sorry G4s, dunno where to send you. No it isn't cheap, but it will last for years and is new. $270 is well worth it IMO.

Yeah, lubes will do the job, but as mentioned you have to reapply and they dirty up the window.

If you plan on keeping the car, just replace them like I did. You will be much much happier.

fyi, junkyards should run about $55-$90 for the part (inc motor), per side
