Question about gauges
I just installed new reverse indiglo gauges on my 91 civic dx auto
looks nice but when the car is off the Temperature gauge falls way below the line.. almost hitting the side of the enclosure... is this normal? becuase if I set it to where when the car is off the gauge is just below the line... then when the car is on... it reads that my engine is really really Hot almost past the red line. Could I have screwed something up and can I fix it and how? It would probably help if someone had a pic of the stock ones... when the car was on just idling.. and when the car is off.... Thanks |

i am thinking you took the needles off. first of all why did you take the needles off, you dont need too. normal opertaing temperature is below the half way mark on the tmep gauge so your needle should be on the lower half

I didn't take the actual needle out... I only took the little pointing thingy off... could I have messed it up like that?

LMAO, Ok im done. ok do this turn your car on warm it up. Turn car off and then pull the dash apat so you can just plug in the gauges with out the outer plastic on. Plug it in turn car on start motor. Then pull the needle off and put it back on about 1/4 way up between the cold and 1/2 way. Then your problem is solved.
