Underbody Neon Kit

Hey I was wondering how hard it would be to install a Underbody Neon Kit on a 6th Gen Civic??? If anybody has any directions or an easy way to do it, would be great... Thanks.

oh yea. definately get them. Their SO worth it.

I've got a site that me and a few friends of mine threw together so we could just post shit up for each other instead of having to go over and help every time... and I put some rough instructions on putting in under car lights.

uuh... the link is:
http://rowdy2kcivic.tripod.com/HOWTO/streetglow.html

Keep in mind that most of the howtos are nonfunctional cuz were all really busy and it's more or less a private site so we dont care as much! lol, but they should be up in a few weeks. I've got some more pictures but with my digital camera it was really hard to get decent shots of the lights while I was laying on my back. The instructions are for a StreetGlow Gold kit (which is definately the best and I would seriously recommend spending the few extra bucks to get it) on my 2k Civic. It should be about the same for your car.

The general rule of thumb for legality is if you can see the lights under the car, it's illegal. My instructions basically conceal the lights completely unless youre lying flat on the ground looking into it. They're kind of close to the middle but it makes almost no difference at all in the glow. It's still just as great.

Basically, my lights never cease to amaze anybody that can't drive (basically I can impress a group of 12 year olds by driving by but the kids who do drive and like imports always 'ignore' them, usually out of jealousy. I would know, I was there too at one point) and anybody that's actually serious about imports (i mean serious and likes them. there's always people that have their preference) and anybody that's ignorant to the import scene loves them. But for some reason some people (always kids and always driving some nearly stock import with the exception of kewl washer lights) 'hate' them. And I know from personal experience that it's usually pure jealousy. if you ask them, their always 'planning on getting their set soon...' which basically means their flat broke and can't afford a set and it pisses them off. And then there's the people that just don't like them because undercar lights arent their thing. But they dont like them and I can respect that cuz it's an actual opinion. But some of these rice kids will see them and always look away and pretend not to notice or w\e.
LOL, the latest in a series of mixed emotions when my rides got the lights on was definately the funniest. My 12 year old brother likes my lights more than I do and he BEGS me to let him ride along and turn the lights on and stuff so I do occasionally. My bro wanted to go downtown and my dad wanted me to take him because he didnt wanna take his car out so I just let him use mine. So my dad (whose on the verge of 50) takes him downtown at dusk and my bro flips on the lights w\o him knowing. My cars exterior is basically solid green, (including the lights. I've got a blue\green color scheme) Imagine what you'd think if you saw a 50 year old guy and a 12 year old kid riding around with altezzas and undercar lights and the green glow inside the cab. yea, lol. My dad comes back and says some kid was like 'LOOK! ghostbusters 2!'.
I get looks all the time, especially from the older generation, but I never EVER get shit for the lights. Some people ARE just jealous, (and no I'm not conceited. honestly, my car isn't great and I don't expect it to be for a good few years. I've talked to a lot of people with the lights and it's almost always the same reactions everywhere. and I was jealous too at one point although it's embarassing to admit it but I know how it goes) some dont like it cuz they don't like it and that's cool but I can assure you a lot of people do but a lot wont admit it. And like I say it's almost always the dumb kids. Beware you'll get a lot of mixed feelings driving with the lights. But I love them. Their definately my favorite 'mod' (if you can call them that.) I've always loved them.

Anyways... I'm just rambling cuz its friday and I'm trying to waste time but if you need any help installing them, I can get under and take a few more shots for you. Just drop me a line or IM me @ shoottheolddog (AIM)

Hope I helped

The only problem with blue or red is that they are "emergency vehicle" colors and a cop could give you shit for it if they wanted to get technical. Plus, a lot of people have blue, green, or red (from what I've seen). I'd go with something different if it'll look good with your car just to be different. But thats my opinion.

Its your cash so get what YOU want

I'd say go green. Green, in my opinion, looks the best on black. Plus (in Street Glow) green is the brightest. Blue or red look good underneath a black but purple barely shows up and like 93speed said, blue and red could screw you with cops.

Thanks, Ive thought about green... But the interior I want to get are some Tenzo-R seats that have blue along the top of them... And once I get those I want everything to match, but I think I might just look at the all black ones instead... Thanks.

Here's the thing

My buddy and I installed a Street Glow underbody kit on his pimped out 02' Tacoma,... (Given I know that not a Honda) but it was hard as
PHUCk, it seemed like the instructions were all screwey, and then to top it off, my buddy had to make additional Cuts/holes for mounting...
Granted WE ARE NO PRO's but come on,..... :monkeypis
I have a GREEN CIVIC myself, and I was even thinking about throwing the NEON under my car,.... Well I thought about it for 5 minutes and then said HELL NO. OUR little project ended up costing HIM more than it would have to just by it at a shop, and have them instal it. So in my opinion it is not worth all the hassle, plus unless your really GOING PLACES (shows, races, ect.) with your car, why bother with the NEON...
I like the idea, but it just seems like a waste of time/$$$$/ and like the other guy said,
