Tamiya Enzo *lightly detailed*

I know that ever since my computer crash a few years ago, I don't have pictures of my prior projects, but I thought I would bring this one back...since I am begining to lay out a plan for the superdetailed version of the Tamiya's FXX.

Here is my lightly detailed Enzo...I did this one 3 years ago with a couple of aftermarket items..

I am hopping my skills have greatly improved since then and I can apply lessons I learned on this model to my FXX...

Please let me know what you think...

Re: Tamiya Enzo *lightly detailed*

I hope you were being sarcastic with the "lightly" part, because that's a very detail model if you ask me Really nice work.

Re: Tamiya Enzo *lightly detailed*

Is that metallic paint or dust? I also have to comment that 'lightly' doesn't seem to be a fitting description. Looks great.

Re: Tamiya Enzo *lightly detailed*

its metallic black from Tamiya TS series....and some dust I am afraid.

The modl is only "lightly" detailed, because of the use of mostly aftermartket parts, rather then milling my own parts or scratchbuilding parts. Plus I did not replicate all the electrical wiring and engine wiring and plumbing...so, yeah..lightly detailed.

The parts list, as I recall was:

SMS super detail set
SMS CF decals
Acu-Stion brakes and resin calipers
Acu-Stion Wheel knock offs and stems
Sakatsu Fluid caps
Sakatsu wiring and mesh hoses

Thats all I can recall at this time, but I am sure there are more...

Thanks for the positive feedback, I am not good at taking photos.

What did you use for the heat shield in the engine bay?

I used a cigarette pack foil on white glue, however, now, Model Factory Hiro sells adhesive-backed heat-shield foil - check out www.hiroboy.com for parts.Check out this pic:

The foil is the silver thing to the right of the body.

Looks good. I am in the middle of this build right now. One question, why are the rear tires sticking so far out from the body?

Mike.

Re: Tamiya Enzo *lightly detailed*

Damn that looks good! I have been waiting 3 years to finish my stupid SMS/Enzo. Someday I hope it will be complete. I just moved this last weekend and have to reorganize all of my stuff again. That usually makes me not want to start up again. But, this has inspired me to at least finish my dang F430 Challenge, then the Enzo, a cutaway Enzo, 2 SLR's, 2 FXX's, a couple bikes, some rally cars and................... You get it.

Beautiful car!
