Progress, BMW M3 e30
I was just wondering if this is a rare kit...since i've never seen one here or at any other website...
Anyway, this is my first time with a Fujimi kit, and i got to say that (at least this one) it's a really crappy kit. Bad fitment, and very poor detail, but i really like Bimmers, especially the M3 (e30 or e36) so when i saw this, i bought it instantly...besides, it was very cheap (US $20) The front bumper was very flat, so i added a lip and modified it a little bit to look like the real one. (not finished on the picture) I cover the interior with some plastic sheets to hide the marks of the plastic injection. After i primer the interior i realized that there was a huge gap between the chassis and the body, and the door panels sit way out of the body (it's that well said??). So i used some styrene sheets to fix it...problem solved. Btw, don't worry about the bad sanding, that will be covered with flock so it won't be visible. Now the body it's primered, and ready for paint...any color suggestions? Sorry for the bad english, i hope you understand me... |

If that is a racing kit, was there no racing interior? That kit does suck then. Nice job on starting to correct the kit. Your enlgish is fine. Keep up the great work!

Good looking build!
I have one of these atrocities in my pile of kits. The E30 M3 is one of my favorite cars ever, but this kit has continued to repulse me. I've always wanted to see someone make a decent build of it. Looks like you're making a good start. You got a great deal on it. On Ebay, they tend to go for +$50 USD. For colors, my favorites on this body style have always been dark metallic grey (gunmetal), black, or red. The E30 M3 was offered in a pretty limited range of colors (Dakar Yellow wasn't availible until the E36 M3), but these three were factory options, and it looks great in any of them.

Any pictures of the included side rear-view mirrors? Are they accurate like the picture? Thanks and I'll be watching this thread...

Re: Progress, BMW M3 e30
I like it alot, you are right though, it looks like a really bad kit. you are going to do justice to it. I'd say british racing green, with 2 yellow stripes on the fender. 17"BBS mesh wheels slightly lowered.
this is going to be nice when you are done!! and your english is very good too!

Nice work! I think red (non-metallic) would look killer on this one.

Re: Progress, BMW M3 e30
Looks like you have made some good modifications to that kit, didn't look very good from the start.
I'd say paint like this, but without the sponsor decals: http://www.performancebmwmag.com/ima...ers/31-800.jpg Classic M3-racing colour would look really good on this, even if you make it a street car.

Re: Progress, BMW M3 e30
I have never seen that kit before, but now I know where my Autotech decals came from! Shame to see such low quality but good to see it's not slowing you down.
