Still not working
Hey everyone i was on here quite a bit about a year ago. Let me refresh your memories. I have a 1996 auora and in the summer of 05 i did alot of work on it before i left for school in the fall. The car was running beautifully before i left. Well my father did not start it for a couple months and when he finally did it did not start. So he goes to jump it and admits that he may have jumped it the wrong way. Anyways after the battery is charged up he tries starting it and it just wont go. Everynow and then when it sits you can get it to start up quickly and then shut down. Anyways Chirstmas break 05 i come back and start working on it. Replace the fuel pump, filter and fuel pressure regulator to obtain the proper fuel pressure at the rail. I also check the compression in each cylinder and it is good. I can get teh thing to start by spraying starter fluid into the intake. As long as I keep spraying and the car will stay running. So i figure there is problem with the injectors since the fuel pressure is fine. Finally i check to see if is injector pulse. And i find that not all of the injectors are getting a pulse. My computer agrees with this. It tell me that there are injector failures. Anyways I have to leave the car not working and go back to school. When i come back in summer 06 the car is at some garage. And then another garage and then another. No one can fix it. So this past summer i did no touch it but now it came back to me because i would not let my mother throw it out. The car is still in good shape. My plan is to replace the computer because i still think that my father destroyed it by jumping it the wrong way. Please everyone i need your help. I graduated college and now have all the time i need to fix this thing. Also if anyone knows wheere i can purchase a copy of the factory service manual let me know because i want it. Its time to get serious.

Re: Still not working
You could have a couple of problems. Either ECM module or fuel injector related. How did you confirm there was no injector pulse to each injector? Noid light?, test light?, and did you ohm out each injector coil?
The FSM shows up on EBay every now and then. Also, you can get the FSM through Helm, Inc. They were having a sale on manuals for GM cars below 2002. www.helminc.com

Re: Still not working
I used a test light to check for injector pulse. I am not sure what you mean by injector coil but i did check the resistance between the two terminals on the each injector.
