2005 Audi A4 Quattro 2.0T Transmission Problem
Hi everyone,
My mother has a 2005 (technically a 2005.5 according to Audi - has options available on 2006's but not 2005's, but it is titled as a 2005) Audi A4 2.0T Quattro with the automatic transmission. When she is coming to a stop, the transmission makes a big clunk as she is just about to stop. I've been watching the gear indicator, and it only occurs in second gear, but NOT while shifting down. It almost sounds like the transmission is trying to shift to 1st gear, but is unsuccessful. Any ideas what could be wrong? It has not been to a dealer yet, but when the issue was described over the phone, they said it was a result of the car's computer learning the driving style of the driver. I know the car will do that, but I don't see how this could possibly be a result of that.
