What shift do you work?

I hate working in the mornings. I'm a nighttime kinda guy. But, my new position sorta needs me to get to work before noon.

How 'bout you?

For the in-betweeners: For example, if you usually start at 0400, pick whatever group you or your employer classifies that shift as. 0400 at my company is still graveyard. Morning shift starts at 0500. Now you just have to post and explain why you picked one over the other.

My company actually uses a 36-hour clock. It gets complicated.

edit:
Also, tell us if you don't work an "normal" 8 hour day. Some people work 4 ten hour shifts instead of 5 eight hour shifts. I think cops work twelve hour shifts...

Right now I start at 1430, and get off at 2330. Today I am doing overtime, from 0600 to 1400. Yesterday, I did some crazy hours. I started at 0400 and got off at 1800 :o I am a little tired now. Anyways, it all makes for a good paycheck.

Wow, 24 hour time, thats so, strange. I like it.

I dont just work Mon-Fri.
I usally do 7 days in a row then have 4 days off.
A lot of the time i work weekends and have my days off during the week. This suits me just fine as i would sooner have my days off during the week.
Most of my mates shift work as well, so during the week its a lot easier to go for a game of golf or work-out etc as there are a lot fewer people then weekends.
Once every 3 weeks i get a weekend off ........that's the "party weekend"

Good idea.

Any others of you that shift work.....is there a limit as to how many days in a row you can work ??
Also how many hours off before you start a new shift.

Mine is no more then 10 days in a row....but a max of 12

Have to have a 10hour rest before you start a new shift.

Golf is played by many here....not as big as the USA....just Lots of hackers like me play it here !!!!

It's a real buzz here at the moment with Tiger Woods coming to play soon.

I try to get out once every two weeks.
Thats what i like about shift work and the hours i work.....it almost gives you the whole day to do what you want before work.
