1/8th scale 1932 ford hot rod

I am building a 32 ford that has been inspired by the bobber motorcycles.

Looks good but I don't understand the bobber inspiration either. What did you mean by that?

if I'm not mistaken, it's a term for rat rod bikes. I could be wrong. I think the Milner coupe was of the bobber style, but it was painted yellow.

kinda.. the bobber era came about after WWII when alot of the service men were buying the army surplus bikes.. in order to make these faster they used to get rid of any excess weight like saddle bags etc and the cut or "bob" the rear fenders.. bobbers were a bare bones bike built for speed... well i could go on forever about the history of bobber.. choppers.. kustom kulture etc but u'll get the idea!

good luck with your build... i love em ratty!!

I have painted the body in Tamiya TS-33 Dull Red, as I wanted to avoid bleed through.

Just a quick update to show that my project is still under construction. The above photo shows the bobbed rear fender glued to the deuce body.
