heat drop? & tranny question

I already bought intrax springs for my 1990 toyota camry because they didn't make coil-overs, for some reason the front is low-low..what I want..but the back is slightly higher, it seems jacked up. I want lo-lo, and those damn springs costs a good $320, after purchase and install. I don't want to spend any more money on this part of the car, but need to even the car out, plus it just looks silly. Cuting them seems scary because I don't have the time to do it myself and I don't want to pay someone else to do a hack job. Many people have told me to heat them. I'm pretty sure that I will do that, but need detail on exactly what to do, any other tips?...keep in mind that I already have new springs on the car.

Next question, i did an engine swap and months later, still working out the final kinks. My clutch seems to be sliping sometimes, but I know that it is in near perfect condtion. When i first added tranny fluid it was kind of a quess. Would low tranny fluid cause engine to tran slip and also shuttery low end driving when the car has not warmed up???
