Re: RSX Turbo type-MR (mid-engine)

I liked how it turned out alot. I remember looking at this when it first started then coming back a while later and seeing your progress. The paint feels a bit heavy, but it might just be me.

Re: RSX Turbo type-MR (mid-engine)

Great! Haven't seen a Honda MR conversion followed through to the end yet, and not only did you finish but you finished it superbly! Very well thought out from the start to the finish, and great result. I actually find the paint work to look great, not too thick at all. You did shave the door handles, which may be part of what makes it look that way to others. It looks excellent throughout.

Re: RSX Turbo type-MR (mid-engine)

What paint is to thick? The red paint or the black paint?

I've used 2 layers of Tamiya TS18(red), 1 layers of gloss black and 1 layer of clear coat, so it's not to thick at all.

The pictures are taken outside, maybe it is the reflection.

Re: RSX Turbo type-MR (mid-engine)

It seems thick, because you seem to have shaved away body detail. It gives the illusion of the door handles being covered in paint, I guess.

Otherwise, splendid model! It looks like it was meant to have the mid engine right from the box

Re: RSX Turbo type-MR (mid-engine)

it just needs to be wet sanded, and buffed out. it seems there is some imperfections in the paint around the roof , hood and front bumper making it seem thick. other than that, this turned out fandamntastic!
