here is the perfect link to an answer to your question. it compares the rsx-s and the integra gsr which was pretty comparable to the integra type r (don't flame me for that), it's on the temple of vtec page.

ITR by far. Looks ten times better....especially if you get the JDM front end conversion. And the B18C5 leaves you with an enormous aftermarket...compared to the K20. I used to own a 94 GS-R fourdoor.......and 25hp plus a close ratio helical LSD trans (S80)...and less weight, better handeling, bigger brakes........could go on forever. Plus the ITR is more exclusive. There are less made per year. And you get your ITR#. just my $0.02 tho

Type R all the way
RSX runs low 15's stock ITR ran in the low 14's stock (i saw it with my own eyes, hell i made a stock g2 integra run 9.9 in the 8th wiht 200k miles on it and bald tires with metal showing) plus the ITR looks awesome as hell, i love the JDM head lights

You really can't compare the Integera Type R with the The RSX type S. It's comparing apples with oranges. Compare The INT Type R with the RSX type R or the Integra GSR with the RSX Type S.

i agree..compare the S to the GSR, cuz the type r is clearly a better car. handles better, would SMOKE it stock vs stock. if it was GSR vs S then, i dunno...i mean im partial cuz i own gsr, but still...imo i don't really like the rsx that much. more displacement, yet not much more power, an it weighs almost 3k. even with the 6-speed, i dunno...im jus not impressed by it. GSR vs RSX in 1/4 tho...i dunno i'll let u guys kno, im tryin to get a guy w/ an S to race me for fun...he's got cold air, and an upgraded ecu. depends on the year of gsr too tho..cuz they got slower as they got newer...hmmm...i say the rsx stock will out run the gsr stock...but i still like the styling of integras a LOT more...jus my .02 tho...peace

Which ITR are you talking about? The RSX-like one, or the DC2? Nevertheless, I love Type-Rs, so you can guess my answer

I personaly like the looks of the RSX but I think I would take a TYPE R over it. My friend has a type s and with AEM cai and lowered he ran a 15.05 in the 1/4. Which IMO isn't bad to just have drop srings and cai.

Pnoi Q is right, you really can't compare the type S with the type R.
In my opinion gsr vs. type s, type s.. more horse, closer ratio, but I guess it depends on the driver too.... It's always about the driver.

hehe, now that would be interesting... but wait... they can't both be automatic.... Type S only comes in 6 speed.....

I ran a 14.9stock in my 03' RSX Type S. And whoever said ITR's run low 14's stock is ignorant. I love the ITR, I'm trying to convince my fiance to get one instead of a EPB Civic Si but she hasn't had a chance to test drive one. I love absolutely LOVE the ITR, but I also love my RSX Type S. The ITR probably handles better, but the RSX-S has more luxury and just as much performance. There is a video floating around ITR vs RSX-S with almost all the same mods....ITR gets him off the line but the RSX-S catches up and walks him.
I think people will start respecting the RSX in the next few years more. There is a lot of potential in the new K series, just gotta wait for it to mature like the B series. Again...the word "better" is really up to what you are looking for. Luxury + speed = RSX Type S.... Suspension + Aftermarket galore = ITR. But here is the thing..if I were to ever get an ITR...I would leave most of it stock except maybe intake and maybe a few other minor things. Other than that..I'd keep the stock look. It looks better that way. |
