Hasegawa Civic type R (EG6)

just finished this. well. came up with the bumpers my self. some what like the veilside one. scratch built. well, i'm poor and dont have any styrene sheets so i used old phone cards. same goes for the side skirts. really pleased with myself with this being just my 3rd model. lol. experimented lots of things. including cutting up the hood. put a small nos bottle inside too. made the stock rims black, sprayed it thick so that the honda logo doesn't show up. and the coolest thing is that it has an Rx-7 engine in it. LOL. how cool is that huh. but i won't mind if you think it's dumb. lol. got it from my die cast hotworks racing model. it isn't some big engine just a flat piece:

that was when it was plain. now it's got wires through it. i put in this lil intercooler too. some spare part.
yea.and the pics. sorry for the blur pics. i'm using my phone cam. maybe you can save them and see them as smaller images.

simple bottom.

put together.

comments and feedback all welcome. good comments, thanks! bad comments, i'll learn from them!

I like the front bumper alot! but the paint looks a bit heavy.

quick tip, next time use a white primer under the yellow and you won't need to use so much paint.

Nice build for a third model. As said before, the paint does look a bit heavy, and white primer will help that.

Another tip, it looks as though you tried brushing the body lines without using any thinner and creating more of a wash? Here is a great tutorial on painting body lines...

Re: Hasegawa Civic type R (EG6)

thanks for the comments! i was feeling bored not having a kit to do so i decided to add more details to this car.
i scratchbuilt an intercooler using a phonecard again, plus some wires and tubing.the wires run over the card and the tubes on the side hold them down.

coloured it black and then sprayed silver. then i used a toothpick to run along the gaps inbetween the wirs to get this effect which i like. silver with some black.

put it there like that. is there anything like that? think there is..

then i added some tubing the the things in the back of the car.

and i scratch built a techometer. used this:

the fat part. and got this:

then made some mags. an import tuner, one sport compact car and one recent issue of FHM singapore. lol.p laced them on the seats.

i painted the racing seat yellow too.
this is my first time trying the scratch building of the extra meter and the intercooler.
and final pics.
