Beer!

Whats your favorite? (Read: actual beer to drink and enjoy, not get silly and try to get your d-wet...ie Natty Light)

My favorite used to be Bud Light but then I went out on a limb and tried Samuel Adams Boston Lager and it changed my life.
I could actually taste my beer and when I go back and compare, Bud Light just tastes like fermented soda water.

What about you guys?

Re: Beer!

I like Sam Adams beer also. Way back when, (when I used to drink a lot of beer,) it didn't matter much as to what it was. But now that I'm older and don't drink as much beer,(more of a mixed drink and wine drinker now,) my tastes are a little more discerning. I'd rather spend a little more and try other beers that are not so mass produced , more of a "craft type" beer, microbrews, and small breweries. I also like Guiness.

Re: Beer!

i haven't drank too many american beers, only bud, bud light, and coors. of the americans budweiser isn't bad, coors was the best american i tasted, and bud light was too weak.

for canadian beers i've had: Alexander Keith's (very good), Moosehead (also very good), molson canadian (meh, forgetable, good to get drunk off of), labatt blue (didn't like it, kinda cheap beer), and rickard's red (also very good). now my fav of those, that's a tough one, i was drunk when i had rickards but i remember really liking it, i really enjoy keith's and moosehead equally. i haven't had enough moosehead to compare so right now i'd say keiths.

now for german beers i've had a few but my fav is Schneider Weisse, it was awesome on tap but not as good bottled, it was a huge difference.

so i guess i conclusion, it's almost a tie between keiths and moosehead but i've had keiths enough to say i enjoy it very much, moosehead will need a bit more tasting.

Re: Beer!

I'm a Heineken man all the way. Although me and my friends at school drink alot of Miller High Life while we watch football since the imports usually cost so much more and we're poor college kids.

I'm always down to try new beers though. As long as they're not light I got stuck drinking Coors Light last sunday when my friend's coworker kept buying us pitchers of it. Beer etiquette forced me to drink it.

We can source it here

I like Speight's, a nice NZ ale (bring on the Tui and Export loving haters - although I do like Tui as well).

I never say no to a Stella either.

Re: Beer!

Really like Red Hook ale, and some Fat Tire usually hits the spot. But that's American piss beer. The real stuff is in German microbreweries.
