i finally got that pesky jetta 1.8t back and then some

some of you AFers might recall my race with that jetta 1.8t a while back. well after i've done fixing up my car and put on some simple bolt ons. we went at it again. and lets say i himulated him. i took him off the launch by a good 2 cars. and he never gained on me afterwards. sooo i ended up beating hiim by 2 cars. then i guess he wanted to go at it from a roll when he already has his boost build up. well i waited for him in second gear. as soon as i saw him near me i gunned it and lets say i pulled on him all the up to forth gear. and the night before that. i raced my friends LS 2 door with i/h/e, and a golf gti III with a exhaust and crazy suspension mods. once again. i blew by them at the launch. this was a 3 car race. the i took the golf by a car, and the golf took the LS by a car. but afterwards, the golf fell far behind and i heard the LS coming at me fast, but the race was already over. if it went on for like 3 5 seconds longer, he woudl've beaten me. soo i got all big headed and i tried racing my other friend in the 4 door LS with i/h/e mods as well and lets say he beat be pretty bad by like 1.5 cars. argh!!! oh wellz. 3 and 1 ratio not bad.

i don't think 100lb would make that much of a difference. but the LS does have alot more top end then the S14. and the GS-R is not that much faster then a LS. my friend in his LS draged a GS-R and he only lost by a car. not much.

well i was also thinkin about how the driver effects the race significantly. i mean i think the people in the gs-r that you raced can't drive. look at how much of a different outcome a driver can make. my friend's 2 door LS is clearly the faster car out of the two LS's that i've raced. since he is a 2 door, the other being a 4 door, one having a sound system, the other doesn't, one has over 100k miles, the other is still pretty new, one has rims, the other has stock factory rims, one has a cold air the other has a short ram. soo its a no brainer then the 2 door is considerably faster. however, i took him by a good car. and my friend's slower LS took me by a car and a half easy. and about me beating the new v6 accords. it depends on what you mean by new. the 03 with 240hp new? or the older ones with 200hp new? my friend's accord LX took the v6's and i'm pretty sure that it would be pretty close between me and him as well.

Hey TatII...

in your Sig.. you say Carbon Fiber Dash...

last i checked... Carbon Fiber Dashes... aren't performance enhancers.

all joking aside, i have to assume it actually weighs less than the OEM Dash, how much does it actually save you? Curious Me AM!

As we know, in the world of racing, weight does NOT help out.

and about the dash. i know it sounds cheessy and i know i'm goin to get looked down on for this. but its really just carbon fiber covered in epoxy that are cut out to the shape of my dash. and i just stuck them on. but hey they weight next to nothing soo its not like its hurtin performance either. i just makes me look more pimped out lolz :smoker2:

Integra LS: 2650lbs 140hp at 6300, 123lbs @5200

Integra GSR: 2680lbs 170hp @ 7600, 128@6200

'95 240sx SE: 2760lbs 155hp @ 5600 160lbs@4400

My '96 base (stock) can just barely beat a GSR. Maybe you left the winter sandbags in the trunk?

thanks redneck. it means alot coming out of a domestic guy like yourselve. very flattered. and for fatninja. me and a 01 accord v6 would be very close at a drag. its a matter of once again, gettin him off the line and tryin to stay ahead until the quarter is over. csaue my only strong points of my car is the awesome 1st and 2nd gear. on 3rd to 5th it falls flat on its face. on the top end, i'm pretty sure the v6 would pull on me but not by much. then again i've never raced one yet. but this is purely based on my predictions. and i've never raced a v6 stang yet. but my friend in the LX did. and he said that it was pretty close. even though the v6 stang was a auto. not check this out. the weirdest thing is that my friends bro also has a v8 02 mustang gt but its in auto though, and they all said that its not that fast and that i can probrably take it as well. weird~

well like i said the driver in the jizzer (gs-r) probrably sucks. this is how much difference a driver makes. i beat the faster lighter LS by a car. but the slower heavier LS beat me by 1.5 cars. how else can you explain that? i'm pretty sure if raced that gs-r i can't take him too. its all in the driver man. if the cars are close in level. its purely a drivers race.
