Modified 406 coupe

I was looking to buy a V6 406 coupe recently and came across one that had been seriously, but taste-fully modded. It had twin separate exit exhausts - must have custom-made, 18" alloys (!) and an LAD motorsport tuned engine that put out 270bhp!!
I took it for a drive and it felt absolutely fantastic - so much more torque lower down than standard. There was too much traffic to try the top end unfortunately.
External factors (wife...) prevented me from buying the car - but I was close.

Has anyone else heard of modded coupes?

I heard of an Alsacian firm which modified the V6 of the Coupé 406 : then the V6 with 4WD developped 450hp with 2 turbos !!!!!!! This company is called Alesia....

Re: Re: Modified 406 coupe

The range is not bad today :
2.0 16s 137hp auto
2.2 16s 160 hp
3.0 V6 210hp
2.2 Hdi 136hp
But indeed, I agree that a V6 more powerfull would not be a stupid idea. Hope the COupé 407will have one ! It'll have the V6 Hdi Biturbo 200hp in diesel, a good news

I already have 180-190 hp in my 2.0 coupe.
In January I will raise it to about 230 hp.
