Re: WIP - The two ends of the street car world

Yeah sadly the Skyline is a curbside...I would love to see a detailed engine model for it...guess I have to settle for the real-world one where I work

damn curbsides. tamiya says accurate display model but if i remember right the real skyline has a motor as with countless other real cars. not so accurate as they say it is. good job on all of this.

Please forgive my poor paint skills. All the painting was done using an automotive paint scratch filler brush, and this is my first plastic model in 8 years, and first car model ever...

The steering wheel:

The whole dashboard:

You could always transplant the engine from the Tamiya R-32 into the R-34; plenty of others have successfully done it.

Re: WIP - The two ends of the street car world

True, but I just dropped a grand for school this semester..I dont have the cash right now to go hunting for a model just for the engine :P Not to mention the extra work of cutting off the hood, which Im just not advanced enough to do...

Cabin is attached to the body, and the intercooler has been mounted. All that is left now is the shell!

Re: WIP - The two ends of the street car world

Forgive me for asking a silly question, but how is a Skyline and a Civic at both ends of the street car world?
